Gravity Wagon question

The other reason we used the hitch on the front of the JD A was, first in an older A was about 2 MPH and reverse was almost a road gear. Will not really but they were fast.

The later As were too. About the same as 3rd.

I bought this old "Little Wagon" gravity wagon recently. I am not sure what this type of running gear is. Does anyone know?

Next question is, what is the trick to backing this thing up? Is there a way to lock the running gear or trailer tongue? I just need to back it up 15-20 feet. Thanks

On the question concerning backing up, surely you have been to Cotton Mills and noticed the LARGE, WIDE parking area......they are there for a reason.....I was a newly converted city boy at the time but Learned....the first time I hooked onto a cotton trailer that you ain't-a-gonna back that sucker up with anything that has a longer wheel base than the distance from the front tires to the hitch.
