This has been a difficult task of figuring out what the true color of the gray Pony should be, but I think I"ve figured it out after speaking to the editor of Ferguson Furrows. The light gray which is the NAPA 3740 wasn"t being used until Dec of 1954 ,so that would mean the correct color would be The NAPA 10039 which is the standard Ferguson gray. To support this I compared my original painted pony part to a TO30 Ferguson that was original. They match almost perfectly. However paints do vary slightly batch to batch and depending who"s mixing it that day. I"ve seen the Ferguson grays more blue-ish and some that were more grayish on the TO20 and 30"s.If anyone wants to add or subtract to this feel free . Please support your responses with data if possible.
