Gresen 2 spool valve. Oliver power beyond

I'm going power beyond on my 1550 Oliver. I have a open center two spool valve off an old Oliver. On the bucket tilt spool, when I blow air in the inlet air only comes out one of the openings with the handle pulled or pushed but nothing with the handle the other direction. The lift ports work normal. The valve had an exhaust hole in the bottom which I plugged so I only have an inlet and an outlet(2 hoses).What am I missing as this 60 year old valve body did not come with directions. John, Randy or anyone else, I greatly appreciate your advice.

Get me the casting number. I taught some Gresen classes when Dana owned Gresen. I have some Gresen literature yet i will send you if you send me your U S mail address and a phone number.

It is a model 2702. It came off an Oliver 550. There was a plug in one of the cylinder ports and an exhaust hose on the bottom.That is the cylinder port that I can't blow air through. I plugged the bottom and put an elbow where the plug was. My number is 812-639-6536. Thanks again John!
