I recently upgraded my hydraulic lift cylinders to two way cylinders. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to change the Gresen control valve to double acting from single acting. I cannot find a manual online so reaching out on here.

Please post a photo of your Gresen valve. Your being a new member you may have to ask site moderators for permission to post a photo. I posted a photo of correct location at upper LH corner for contacting mod's. My guess is yes your Gresen valve can be converted to double action if it has a threaded orifice in correct location.

That valve is 4 way (DA) and should operate a DA cylinder. Many times a 4 way valve is used to control a SA cylinder by simply plugging the unused port. Hook if up using both ports and see. My bet is it works without any further chsnges.

And BTW - you don't need thread sealant/tape on pipe swivels. The seal is made on the seat not the threads.

Just so you know you can buy extended fittings that will set a couple of those hoses up a bit higher so they would clear over some of the others would just make a bit more room for wrenches on some of them. also helps keep them from rubbing each other. I go them through either Surplus Center or Discount Hydraulics. Both are good to deal with form my past experience. Do take the time to price them though since some fittings both places carry and some times the shipping can make a difference in who get the sale
