Buddy of mine picked up a decent 960 a couple weeks back and asked me to help him change out the fluids this weekend. Oil on dipstick looked pretty black so it was due. Tractor sat several years before he bought it. We ran it up to temp and drove it around a bit and then started draining the crankcase. This is what came out. Wasn't milky like I've seen before but more of a grey color. Oil pressure stayed above 35# the whole time. I told him lets just leave the drain plug out and filter off and I'd ask the pro's. I'm thinking it may just be from sitting so long and we mixed it up pretty good and some condensation could be in there. Anything else you may know of? Only other thing I could think of is maybe the seal in the hydro pump leaking back into motor? Have some fresh Rotella ready to put in it tomorrow. Thanks!
