H Plug

Last time I was out to play with my new to me H, I started draining the transmission to see what was in there. I took the plug off the front to drain and put it in a very secure location. So secure, I don't remember where I put it and cant find the darn thing. I swear I put it back on before I left for the day since it was done draining on the front hole but still dripping out the large rear one, but it isn't in the hole according to my dad who went and looked.

The tractor is an hour away and another 20 minutes from a hardware store, so I wanted to get a new plug before I go but I can't remember the size. I'd look in the manual to see if I can find it myself, but that is next to the tractor.

Is it 1/4 or 3/8 plug?

I believe 3/8, but I have a can of plugs of various sizes just for these Whoooops! moments.

Buy 3 sizes. 1/4;3/8;1/2. Only a buck or so each.Use the right one,put the others into 'inventory'.

Shouldn't be that hard to find - its in the last place you left it. I can't tell you how many times I've done that - even purposely put stuff places that should be obvious later and still couldn't find what I was looking for.That was before I got older and can't remember stuff.
