H trans project now carb issue

Well it together nice and quiet and no leaks .
Now it runs nice but I can't get the smoke to clear up off idle . It got better with adjustments but still puffs when you pull the throttle . It's fat stumbles a tad then runs really nice the rest of the throttle range . Float adjustment ? Gasket looks new so I'm guessing someone played around recently .

I did once when I played with the screw wish I had something to give it a good workout .
