Hand clutch

On a MH 33 does the overriding clutch disengage when the lever is pushed forward or pulled backwards? Thanks

I took it apart, clutch plates were stuck together. Looks like it disengages by pushing or pulling and centers itself in the middle where it’s engaged.?

when the clutch pack is in the "centers itself in the middle" the lever linkage should be adusted so that the lever is vertical,
then the stop bolt on the lever base adjusted so the lever will not move forward.

Thanks, I got it working once it was properly adjusted. Just like you said, the lever pulls backward. Pretty happy with the way it works, should work good on a small square baler this fall.

Many a time I was tossed of front of the hay rack or bale stooker when dad pulled that lever lol.
But yes it was handy with the square baler, we ran an MF12 baler behind the 33.
Try not to "feather " it to much it will get warm.
