Harbor Freight Predator Engine

I have a Harbor Freight Predator Engine that I put on as a replacement engine on a front tine Roto-tiller, works fantastic, runs it perfectly the only issue I have it has a Low Oil shutdown on it or if it gets tilted or when the tines get picked up out of the ground the engine shuts off. Does anyone now of a way to disconnect or get around the wiring of this feature, it is a great feature except for on an engine being used for other purposes that the shut down is not needed any help or advise appreciated.

Most likely, you just disconnect the wire from the shutdown to the ignition module. If it is like a Honda, the wire usually goes in the crankcase on the side opposite the cylinder and carburetor, below the fuel tank.

Keep in mind, however, that you are commiting yourself to regularly checking the oil in the engine.

Have you tried running it a little overfull to keep the sensor satisfied when the engine is at weird angles?

Does the engine sit at an angle on the tiller? I have one on my 3 pt tiller and it works great like yours but have not run into the oil shut down problem one on mine sit pretty level for the most part

A single wire to the switch would respond to disconnecting as it probably shorts out the "Magnetron" ignition pickup coil. The switch would be normally open. A two wire system would possibly be a 12v line to the fuel shutoff solenoid below the carburetor bowl if so equipped. Upon oil loss this switch would be normally closed and open, removing voltage from the shutoff solenoid, allowing it to relax and close off fuel to the engine.
