HARCO Air Cleaner

Hello everyone,

I'm about to begin the restoration of my Ford 950 tractor. It was equipped with the HARCO pre-cleaner and I'm trying to re-create the applied decal. I've looked all over the internet, but I can't seem to locate one. I've used context clues to fill in the rest of the information that has worn off over time, but I'd like to see if everything I have come up with is correct. Anyone have a picture of one of these? Thanks.

Josh

Here's a link to a picture of what I have (hopefully it works):

There are two sources that may be able to help you I know of. First, Denny Carpenter used to offer new HARCO AIR PRECLEANERS but no longer does. Here is a page from
his 2012 catalog with the ad. I know by 2016 maybe sooner he stopped offering it due to lack of interest/sales. You can try his QC man, Kevin Norman and ask if they
might have some NOS units and/or decals around. The second place would be GEORGE BRADISH TRACTOR PARTS in Latrobe, PA see LINK below. George & wife Brenda are great
people and his decal assortment is the best, with both vinyl adhesive and OEM water transferrable styles. I looked on his web site but didnt see a HARCO decal. He
made me a custom FORD TRACTOR decal once so give them a call and see what he can do. BTW, the HARCO Air Precleaner was not very good and that is from a few expert
tractor folks, not my opinion. Might also be why nobody bought them. The CYCLONE AIR PRECLEANER was a much better unit, very efficient, and parts are made and sold new
by DC too.

Welcome. I have the same Harco on my Jubilee. I didn't have as much rust on mine, but the decal was history too. I would indeed be nice to have a replacement decal. I can only hope you find one and will be anxious to hear if you do.
As for cleaning, except for the areas you can reach it's virtually impossible to get inside. I swear, this and my air cleaner were dipped in paint. Electrolysis will do wonders for yours, but will be tedious to get in the nooks and crannys.

Contact George Bradisch. They have the most comprehensive line of decals. I don't believe that they have it but they may think that they should add it to their line.

Thank you showcrop

Lots of decals for sure at George Bradish Tractor Parts, but alas no Harco decal. Surely someone has an excellent example and could snap a detailed photo and reproduce especially in the 21st Century.

Regarding his & my Harco, I'm looking for a type of foam seal that goes between the air cleaner cover and hood. My old rubber type is in one piece, but quite aged. MPC show the cover and screen but no seal.

Buy a sheet of whatever type of material you want to make the new seal out of and use the old seal as a template.

Thanks Sean in PA

I see what you did there. Push the Easy Button. I just thought I'd ask first to see what others have done.

Now the decision between either Kerr or Ball for the mason jar. Think maybe I'll use one of my vintage green jars for flair.
