Contemplating buy a side by side for the farm. Looked Iverson several today, JD, Honda, kawasaki, and arctic cat. All had either hard or soft doors available. I'm wondering which might fit me better. Most if what I use it for would be very short drives, across the yard and around the farm type stuff. Soft doors allow any removal for summer which would allow easier access. But the hard doors seem more sturdy. The difference in price is $3-5,000.00 depending on brand. Just wondering what everyone has and how you like it.

I can tell you doors are a PITA in the summer. Especially short runs as you describe as well as being in the way while fixing fence. Id save the money. I do not use my sxs much in the winter anyway.

We have both and I favor the soft doors. During extreme cold they are enough to keep the cab comfortable. But the majority of the time we keep the doors off. The drivers side at least.

I bought a JD and wanted an enclosed cab. The hard doors were very expensive. I appreciate having them in the cold rain and snow, and take them off for the summer. Just like my TLB. I take the door and the right side window off for the summer.
