Hard to start when hot

I have a 47 ford 2n that has been running and starting great, then all of a sudden it seems to flood itselfout when starting hot with the throttle pulled down, choking it will get it to start though. It also starts fine when its all the way up in idle postion. I checked the ignition switch voltage was the same hot and cold, coil is less than a year old, same with points. Any ideas to why its doing this?

Bourget ,If it is flooding and starts when you choke it,then its not flooding.Take a old spark plug and gap it 3/16-1/4 " and hook to a plug wire then ground the shell to the head and check your spark.Problem is possibly bad /cheap points.

It is fairly normal with the N engine to need choked when hot to start. It's the nature of the up draft carburetor.
