Hauling question

Got to move a MF 300 with 10' grain head - only going 20 or so miles but not going to drive it (no brakes and rough tires) although it runs well- will load it on a deck over trailer - 1. Will I be able to drive it up the trailer or will I need to get a winch - 2. the 10' width is not a problem for local roads; will I be able to load it on the trailer without taking off the head or will it bottom out - trailer is 18' long has 4' dove tail and ramps; 3. drive on or back on?
Thanks

Id back it on from past experience. Its much safer to have a couple people watching and use a winch or comealong to pull it on the trailer since it has ho brakes. 1206 is the combine hauling expert here maybe he will reply too.

Backing it on, with header- might need a tractor to hold the rear end down. Some get pretty tippy and sit on their nose, depending how steep the ramps are.

All the many that I hauled, I pulled on forward
with the winch and with the head on. Seemed to
work best for me. Most states at least a few years ago allowed you to haul up to 12' wide(ag)
