in the local classifieds theres a john deere 990 mower conditioner, a new idea side delivery rake, and and off brand british made tedder. all for $1500. ad says all work but needs some tlc. do you think its worth a call or just a $1500 headache? im notfamiliar with any of these models.

I think the 990 would need to be awful, awful nice. The rake doesn't excite me. What do you do with the tedder if it breaks? I think you're about buying a mower....

Dont know about the mower . The rake , if it is the old crazy wheel type with the bigger wheels in front it aint worth much , if it is the newer style with the wheels in the back I have one and it gets the job done . $500-$1000 . Most all the tedders [ 2 or 4 basket type ] around here are made out of the country . I`ve got a 4 basket and cant remember the name but was made over there somewhere and it works great . I bought it used 4 yrs. ago and have never done anything but grease it . It should have the dealers sticker on it that sold it new for parts . It would be worth the $1500 .
