Hi everyone. I recently bought an old but heavy 2 basket tedder. No tags. I am guessing European made because when I replaced 2 bolts, they were metric. 10 tines per basket. They flail out when the PTO is engaged. The wheels have 3 adjustments up/down. Has a spring loaded travel position. I have pics on my cell phone, but am not tech savvy. Any and all help will be appreciated. Also has 2 mounting brackets on the back of each gear box with attachment springs. Appears to be for factory add on. It is too well made to give up on. Thanks in advance.

If it is a 3 point it may be a Haybob. Go to youtube and look for haybob videos. If that is it, I can share a lot of info and experience.

Thank you my friend. You hit the nail squarely on the head. I will look at the you tube videos again tomorrow, but at first glance I think I have a PZ brand. I am basing that on the type of lock that shows for the transport/work mode. Also one video shows the one piece wheel cover painted white and I think I see traces of white. I see that the gates are the missing items on the back of the unit. Any tips on determining the model number?? Thanks again.

PZ made a zillion of these in Europe under many different brand names. You can still buy a new one today branded as a KUHN. The Kuhn sales videos are pretty good. It will tedd or rake. It is easy to tedd without gates, but you will need gates to rake. Be sure to have the springs on the tines. The springs lift the tines when stopped, but they drop down to tedd hay as the RPM speed of the tedder (centrifugal forces) pushes them to the ground. Without the lift springs you will break a lot of tines. Parts are really easy to find on line in Great Britain, shipped here at reasonable cost. Check Malpasonline.com

Do you have a 300 model (straight pipe between rotors) or a 360 model external PTO joints? You can buy a manual on ebay.

These are rugged old machines. I am an old guy but can still hook mine up in less than 15 minutes. The lift feature is nice when moving from field to field.

Good morning Hay hay. I ordered a manual this morning from UK. I ordered the model 300 because I do have a straight pipe between the gear boxes. All the manuals showed an effective serial number. Do you know if the S/N is stamped somewhere or if it was on a decal that is long since gone? You wouldn't have a set of gates laying around that you would be interested in parting with? Thanks for your help. I will probably have more questions after seeing the manual. I appreciate your help and look forward to more conversations.
