Hay Wagon Grease Caps

953 gear uses them.i own a 953 and i got 2 new old stock gave to me

I believe they fit the 801 gear and older steel wheeled gears. My 953 and friends I restored has the rounded hub
caps that pop on where these should thread on.

Your gear must be 58 or newer.mine was bought new in 57 and has the cast screw in caps, had another that was a 47 and diffrent wheels narrow 16" and the newer 1 has wider 15" wheels

You are correct! I am so used to seeing the 953's with round caps you pop on, but yes the earlier ones still used those. I wasn't thinking....to used to seeing the steel wheeled gears we load wood on for the local tractor show and thought they were on those and those only. Good to clarify.
