Used one of them as a young fella when hunting in the deer woods. They came with a red pouch, made out of a flannel like cloth as I remember, that you put them in before putting them in your pocket. One of them, a couple of hot pepper sandwiches and a thermos of coffee was the main defense against deer stand cold. Keeping my feet warm and dry was my biggest issue back then.Well those worked great till they ran out of fuel but lasted for several hours.
I have owned two. They are the kind that have the fuel sticks in them They get HOT! I don't know if they make them anymore.I remember those pocket hand warmers Always wanted one

A fuel stick might be better than the lighter fluid liquid that powered the one I had. Problem with lighter fluid is ensuring that whatever you put it in doesn't leak. Back then I smoked and had Zippo lighters and they worked great in the wind but after a fill up you could get a burn on your leg where the fluid leaked out of you installed too much.I have owned two. Coveralls are good about funneling anything from inside out up around you face. Some if it smells kinda bad though,I misused one, made me sick.
Had it tucked inside my coveralls while deer hunting. The fumes came out right around my face, I breathed them for quite a while before I finally figured out why I was getting nauseous.
Worked good if you kept them in your pocket where they belonged.
On the subject of coveralls, I never liked them because I usually carried something in the pockets. When you gotta do what you gotta do, everything falls on the floor.Coveralls are good about funneling anything from inside out up around you face. Some if it smells kinda bad though,
Zippo still makes them. There's the original style, which lasts up to 12 hours & an electric version that will give you 9.I remember those pocket hand warmers Always wanted one
I have three from the 70's. Even carried one while on active duty. They quit making them after Aladdin went out of business in the mid 80's. They're a Zippo brand of them on places like amazon. But I believe they are knockoffs of the Jon-E heaters. You can find Jon-E pocket heaters on e~Bay for around $25.00.I remember those pocket hand warmers Always wanted one
Might be ok until the cord starts wrapping around the steering shaft
The cord will wrap around the wheel, but if it wraps too many times you have a major problem with your steering.Might be ok until the cord starts wrapping around the steering shaft
