Headlight question

Hello, I am new to the forum. I am fixing up my old 951 powermaster and I have a 19-209 loader. I had to remove a headlight to get the loader on and I was wondering is there a bracket or a place to put the headlight on the loader? Thank you.

Rowdy,
Welcome to Yesterdays Tractors.
You are better off asking questions about
your 951 on the Ford board.
This board is specifically for the Ford N
Series. Click the link below.
19-209 actually pertains to the mounting
kit for your specific model of tractor.
Ford made mounting kits for several
different models.
The more correct number for your "one
armed bandit" loader is 711.
Refer to 711 if you ask questions about
it.
As to the light, there isn't an official
way to mount one on the left side so
you'll have to be creative.
Some guys drill holes and mount one or
both of them on the top of the hood.
Others make a bracket and mount both
lights in front of the radiator.
Probably more of us just skip the second
light.
My own tractors always go to bed with the
chickens so I never have lights on them.
For the Ners here who are unfamiliar with
that loader here are a few photos of some
I've owned.
I still marvel at how clever they are.
The original "quick tach" loader.

I don't think you want to put the lights on the loader itself. Many fellas mount the headlights on the top of the hood, out of harms way. I don't believe Ford ever made any special light brackets to do so, but others with this setup will chime in I'm sure.

I don't think there's a good solution to your question that looks "nice" in my opinion. One possibility, is to mimic the set-up of the Farmall letter series and mount the lights closer to the operator's platform. I personally have opted to go with just the right hand side light, though I can't remember ever having to use lights with this tractor - so it's not a big deal.
