Your best bet is to have them proffessionaly re-silvered, Ashford chroming offer a reflector resilvering service, they strip the old silver off, re polish them, give them a coat of bright nickel and then finally re-silver them - of course after all that they come back as good as new, if they are badly pitted, rusted not all the pits will come out - but generally the overall finish is perfect.
