Not from Iceland!
Maybe someone who was in the service knows what they were used for. If I'm reading the data plate right, it looks like they weigh in at around 18K lbs. Can that be right? They didn't skimp on the steel.
Interesting. They look like oil field equipment supply trailers.Maybe someone who was in the service knows what they were used for. If I'm reading the data plate right, it looks like they weigh in at around 18K lbs. Can that be right? They didn't skimp on the steel.
I bet the 18K is the load capacity.Maybe someone who was in the service knows what they were used for. If I'm reading the data plate right, it looks like they weigh in at around 18K lbs. Can that be right? They didn't skimp on the steel.
In Frederick, Md next Saturday. I took the photos, stop in when I pass the auction site to see if there’s anything interesting.Where's this auction at? Is it online? Perhaps they have photos of the other data plates.
My guess is a hydraulic pump for the jack. That little T-handle looks like a lot of work for a heavy trailer. It looked like a nice supply of heavy steel for some projects—until the reality of torching it apart sets in. Might crush my trailer as well; just put new tires and springs all around. Has a small engine up front, maybe a pump? Looks disproportionately small for the trailer, wonder if it was to pump out water that collects in it.
Which is the 18k Lbs.........the trailer itself or the contents......I know what it says but what about the weight of the trailer itself......wonder what the Army used to pull it fully loaded? Getting a license plate has got to require "deep pockets" to afford it.Maybe someone who was in the service knows what they were used for. If I'm reading the data plate right, it looks like they weigh in at around 18K lbs. Can that be right? They didn't skimp on the steel.
Thanks. Auction won't be loaded online till later next week it looks like. We'll see then.In Frederick, Md next Saturday. I took the photos, stop in when I pass the auction site to see if there’s anything interesting.
