Help dating a Long crawler

I am a volunteer at an agricultural museum given the task of cleaning up records dating back 45 years. Please have patience with me as I'm not a tractor expert. We have a Long crawler. I have found very little information about these. I need to know the date and model of this crawler. I'm not even sure where its serial number plate would be. I'm attaching a photo of a plate that's on the engine block that has 1988 on it. Is the date of the tractor that simple? It's blue, so maybe it was made in Romania? Can anyone tell me the model based upon these pictures? I can get more pictures if needed.

It looks to be a Long 510 series crawler made by UTB Universal in Romania. I think they were made in the 1970's Early 80's?
Try looking up UTB I think that the 510 was one of their models with different sheet metal on it

I worked for Long for a short time in the late 70s, they made 410 and 510 crawlers both I don't remember much about them, but they were a neat concept for a small utility tractor

Thanks for the replies. At least now I know its model is S-510. I looked up UTB and while there is a little more information, I still have been unable to locate a way to date it other than generically in the 1980s. I can't find a serial number on the crawler, but even if I had, I've not located any lookup table for a Long. I do have more information than I had before, however, and that is a plus.

I've poked around trying to find more information about when this crawler was made. I've not found anything concrete. One person suggested that the 1988 on the engine plate (see the first photo) is the year of manufacture. Could it be that simple? If not, would saying "circa 1980" or "1980s" be at least semi-accurate? Or would it be more accurate to say 1970s? Since it seems unlikely that I'll be able to actually date this, I'd like to at least get it in the right decade.

Dont know this helps you any , we have this Model 610sm , eng plate says 1983 , i would assume that could be the year but have no proof .

Just taking a guess here this is the 1970s version here , older styling on sheet metal

Thanks. This helps a lot. I now know for sure I'm looking at the right plate. As the picture shows, it has been rusty and scraped to reveal the numbers so all the other information is gone. It doesn't match the 610 exactly, but this 510 is either 1986 since the top number is 086 or it is 1988 since that's in the bottom number.
