K guys i need your help. got a 1950 ferguson rebuilding with kids of deployed soldiers. It will turn over with a 12 volt but the wiring was all burnt when i got it. I think it is a 6 volt system has what i beleave is a 2 wire gen on it. I can send pics or can call Please help so we can star this to To 20 thanks SSG Sheets

The starter should turn over with 6 or 12 volts. If this has a generator on it I would bet it is a 6 volt unit as that is what they came from the factory with. If it has lights a auto parts store could tell if those are 6 or 12 volt bulbs if you do not know. Great of you to do this for those that are helping to keep our land free.

12V is a great way to make it crank fast. Question is do you want to mod te tractor to run 12V? Or put it back to 6V?
If it is all torch city, 12V might be cheaper.
No, you do not need to convert the starter. It will work fine on 12V as long as you don't go nuts with long cranking when it won't start.
Ft McClellan still exsist for the 95B training?
