Help Finding an Old Tractor

Been reading this forum for a while now and finally broke down and made an account. For about a year or so, I’ve been trying to locate an old 1984 Ford 2810 we used to have in an attempt to buy it back (sentimental as it’s what I learned to drive on). It was the old style dash, 7209 loader, horizontal straight pipe exhaust. Sold in east Texas about 6 years ago. I feel the odds of finding it are pretty low at this point, but it’s worth a try for me (trying to exhaust all possibilities before I accept the fact it’s gone, lol) as I wasn’t in a position to buy it then. Thanks in advance!

Advertising in local papers and internet lists is as likely as anything. You are as close to the issue where you are than most if not all of us. A serial number is really needed, photos, and better location info. There may be a Ford friendly contributor living near there. There is a map of members that have decided to put their address on it. YT member map might get you there.
If your efforts go to naught, Consider purchase of one like it. Jim

Hello 84ford, welcome to YT! You’re in “long-shotville” for sure! As Jim said do you have a serial number? If not this is going to be real difficult. Here is a link to the map he referred to. It has no operational affiliation with YT. A member here just took it on himself to create it and maintain it. Not sure how it looks on a PC but on a phone there is a 3 bar square at the upper left and that brings up a pop-up window, Search is the 2nd option from the bottom. You came set it to Search within x miles of a location.

Good luck!

Thanks for the responses! I will take a look at the member map. It was sold out of Houston, TX. Tractor serial number is C717228. Have posted in local classifieds, will search through my phone and computers to see what good pictures I can come up with.

This won't help you find the tractor but might be something to think about.
Sentimentalism can be like a boat anchor that holds you back in life.
When my father passed in 2001 he left me his 2N Ford. I used it for a few years then sold it to buy a better one. I've traded up a couple of times since then.
I am not a sentimental man.
Neither was my father.
If he could see how I've parlayed the tractor he gave me into the one I have now he would approve and even be proud of me.
