Help ID a 53 Jubilee Option

I am 200 miles from a Jubilee I may be interested in and the owner is 125 miles from it so neither of us wants to waste a trip. I am intrigued with an option he has described. No picture is available due to distance to go take one.

I was sort of guessing it is a Everette or Howard but neither of those have a pipe.

I am trying to get the guy to tell me more. Any questions you can think of?

Here is exactly what he said about it:

"One other feature and I am not sure what it is. It is located a little back from the main gear shift It has a lever and knob on it and piece of pipe running horizontally and must be a hydraulic of some sort. I never used it and really did not know what it was for."

check john smith's site on aux trannies.

if it has an external hyd line it may be a live pto unit. mind you.. the shifter is where the regular pto shifter is.

only one I know that has a shifter aft of the main shifter is the everette..

y guess would be this or one of the similar devices to tap hydraulics for external use.

I agree with JMOR and Soundguy. It could be a selec-trol valve or a live PTO add on. Here's a picture of my hydraulic valve set up on my NAA. A little different, but basically the same.

I have that exact lever. It controls my front mounted snow blade. It has both upward and downward pressure.

my jubilee has this exact valve too, im real intrested in your seat, it looks like you have more legroom than a stock seat, its hard to tell with the seat up though does it? i need a few more inches back and a few up would be nice too [ im 6'5]

I just bought a Jubille with the Hydraulic set up.

How "rare/common" were/are these add on"s?

It"s a "Rest-O-Ride" adjustable seat. The tension adjustment is behinde the seat. You can see the adjustment turnbuckle in the picture if you look close. I"ll post another picture later today where you can see it better.

Thanks guys, the guy looked at the pictures here and said his remote is the same as is on Leo's beautiful Jubilee.

Leo, or anyone, do you know the name of the manufacturer or where it is referenced in any tech manual?

Does anyone want to comment on how much you think this option is worth if offered alone without the tractor? I guess I am asking what you would be willing to give for it if you did not have a remote of any sort on your Jubilee.

Not sure of the manufacturer of my particular hydraulic valve. There is a serial number on it,..I just assumed it was a Ford product and not an after market valve.
I know they are not cheap. Big $$$ for the the style I have and also for the one JMOR posted a picture of. (Ballpark figure $200.00 + or -). You may be lucky to find one at a tractor salvage yard or on E-bay or Craig"s list.
Hopefully the one you are looking at is functional. It may need some work if it has never been used.

Here's a rear view of the haydraulic fittings. This type of remote can be handy for attachments like a log splitter,disc,etc..

While it has a cute name it has the same axle problems as the 8n.The rear housing was used for only 1 year and was weak and cost more to replace.Dance around it and buy a 600 series.
