Help ID old tractor

My wife found this picture of her grandpa on his long parked, old tractor. He was 90 years old in 1967 when picture was taken. He lived on Whidbey Island, Washington. She asked me what make and year it was. Any ideas? Thank you, Cannon

Born in 1877, twenty-three years old at the turn of the century. Saw a lot of change, but I guess we all have. My thought was a Fordson as well. Gerrit

Great picture. Fordson is my guess too. I don't think I ever saw steel
wheels with a V type tread. Also the grass he is in looks pretty thin.
You could try posting on the Ford or Fordson forum below.

I'm curious about the wheels myself. At first glance, I thought the outer half was an extender. But, the spokes don't look like that is the case.
Wish it was a better picture. Hard for me to tell if it's one wheel, or two (as duals) and one reversed. Either way, it's wide and funky looking. Almost like something you'd see on a stream engine. LOL

Fordson model F. Could be a 1918 or 1919 by the rear wheels that are six spoke and do not have the grousers drilled with the three holes. The fuel tank if a single
compartment tank also. Kind of hard to see anything else as dark as the picture is

Looks like one from around 1920 as it has solid radiator side panels. The early Model F had ladder sides.

This is Number 17 of the first batch off the production line that were sent to England in 1917-1918. The ladder-sides radiator finished in 1919-1920.

The wheels look like extra wide ones possibly a special build.

I don't think that is a V type tread, look at top lugs and they are the normal angle bar but look down in front looks like a V but I think that is a plant leaf laying against the lug on front that makes it look like a V lug.

t looks like the inner wheel is the original with 4 rivets holding the tread to the wheel, as original, with some sort of extender or dual wheel on the outside.
