help id tractor model

i have a massey ferguson that has been painted over all the decals. I am trying to figure out what model it is.it is a four cylinder diesel has a 4 speed trans with hi and lo
ranges the serial #on dash is 9a350769 the motor #ld22051u800886h thanks for your help steve

I believe your tractor is a 1982 model 230

A model 230 would not have a 4 cylinder diesel. Are you sure the engine number is ld22051u800886h ?

Haven't got the pictures yet, but according to the engine number the engine is a 4.236, it was made in the UK, the year of manufacture is 1981. With the tractor serial number combined with the 4.236 engine the tractor should be a 1982 MF265.
