Was tilling up an outlying area of the yard. Had this bird try to fly away, but not able to get much air. Dog and cat tried to take it but not much luck.
Got tractor stopped and went to grab bird. It pecked at the cat and dog, so not to afraid. Think it may be a sage grouse, wondering what you guys think.
Pheasants and partridge are more common in eastern South Dakota. Have it in the chicken coop by itself until I decide if I should keep it until it can fly
or just let it go and whatever happens happens
