on a 50 8N above the oil dipstick is a small hole, approx 11/32 that drains drains coolant. The hole is not threaded and was cast into the block. I cannot find a freeze plug that small or even identify what acually fits in that hole. Yesterdays Tractor does not list this part.

Anyone know what this part is a and number.

thanks in advance

If it is not threaded, It's possible the draincock busted off in the block, leaving what appears to be an un-threaded hole, but what is actually the remaining pipe nipple.

Here's a photo of the area you mentioned - This is also a 1950.

See anything that looks familiar?

DO check to see if the reminants of the plug are still inthe hole. fluted or square profile extractor or a lefty drill bit may get it out for you.

if it buggers up.. don't fear. drill it out and tap for next size larger NPT pipe plug.

cast drills and taps for coarse threads easilly. pipe taps are cheap at harbor freight.

thanks for all the answers, from the picture this part must be broken off , that's why the hole has no threads.
