Help Identifying Plow

I recently came into possession of a John DEeere 4 bottom plow and I'm trying to identify the model. Judging from pictures posted on The Plow Guy, it appears to be either a 555H or a 666H. The main difference between the two that I can see from the pictures, is that the lift rod is bent at an angle on the 666H while it is straight on the 555H, mine has the bent lift rod. It has standard rims, not spokes, the hitch uses a clevis, has hydraulic lift and the trip bottoms that have to reset by backing up. Any help would be appreciated.

4 bolt rims or 6? I associate the 555 with 4 bolt as it’s a lighter plow than the 666. But I do think there were some options in wheel equipment so this is not 100% foolproof.
You can study the parts catalogs to look for other clues.

Dave Wolfe’s book on Deere plows confirms 4 bolt wheels on the 555 and 6 bolt on the 666.

Could you post a picture? I have a 555, a 66, and an F620. The 666 is the heavy duty version and it does have the 6-bolt wheels. A picture would confirm what you have. Al

I found a photo online from the 666 plow operators manual that confirms the 666 H Special used 4 bolt wheels.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Unfortunately not long after posting this my 92 year old mother started having some serious health issues and as her main care provider, I’ve kind of had to drop everything and tend to her. She still lives on the family farm about 3.5 hours away but that may have to change now. When I get back home I will look at the tires and try to post some pictures. Just wanted everyone to know I wasn’t ghosting this thread.
