Help Identifying Sickle Mower

I just bought a Farmall H tractor with a sickle mower. I can't find any decals telling me what model the mower is? Hopefully the attached pictures someone will know what model it is. Was last used in 2024 and appears to be very good condition.

It's one of the numerous "balanced head" mowers that IH produced over the years, and Rowse continues to produce. 100, 110, 120, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300 just to name a few. Mechanically they are all virtually identical. If you look close you'll see the main frame on all of them is the same.

The main difference is the way they hitch to the tractor. Some were 3pt, some fast hitch, some trailing, and others semi-mounted like the one you have. The guards and sections are standard sickle mower fare. IIRC the belt is a C101. Keep it greased, but don't over-grease the wobble mechanism.

There is also a 115 side-mounted mower that uses the same wobble head and cutterbar, but the main frame

Looks just like the model 100 series IH mowers I have, that drive head needs no pitman bar so the cutter bar will work vertically for light tree trimming too. I have both 7 foot and 9 foot cutter bars on the models I have. Also have a later IH 1300 model that is similar. IH made fast hitch, three point, and trailing wheel models.

Thanks Guys. The only sickle mower I have experience with was a JD#5 some 40 years ago and have no need for this one. Tractor doesn't run but not stuck so I hope to get it running in the next couple of days. It's got a wide front with M & W by the carb. When I get it running I'll try mowing with it just for giggles and then find a new home for it. Sections are good. Any idea on value?

It is a model 100 but I am not sure if they changed the model number since it is a draw bar hitch type. My 2 point is a model 100 but not sure of any other numbers.

I have the same 100 series IH balanced head mower mounted on an H. Mine still has the decal saying 120. I think the 120 is the version that mounts on a tractor draw bar. It was mounted on the H about 40 years ago and never taken off. Attached is a picture showing 120 decal on the balance head.

Yeah that sounds about right. I knew my 2 point was a 100 and the draw bar one was like a 110 or as you have, it is the 120.
