HELP is it a 490 planter

My planter had the H3102B plates which I believe are JD Any ideas on model?

A 490 is a four row, you would have a 290, possibly. Didn't see your number listed but close to it. Just go to jdparts online and put in 290 for model.

Your planter is not either a lister or bedder model so that leaves 290 that is the only model 2 row tractor drawn planter Deere ever made. Before that they were horse drawn that could have a tractor hitch provided and then the 246-247 planter that was a 3 point hitch planter. And I used to have all the books. I had the entire lign up of tractor planters starting with the 450, first 4 row planter Deere ever made, 290, 490, 494, 494A & 246.

Any ideas,It almost looks like a oliver but then there are alot of JD similarities.I have ordered both handbooks.

What brand made those,It looks like whats in the picture except for a few things like rubber packing wheels
