Help needed on model number for sickle bar mower

Helping my father-in-law restore a 1938 WC. With the tractor is a mid mount Allis sickle bar mower. No model number or tag of any kind is on the mower. Anyone have any idea or experience with one of these mowers and know a model number so I can get him a manual?

That is a link to the AGCO parts book for the mower. I believe it was just called a WC mower. The only tractors it would fit were the WC and RC (which was a WC with a B engine). Manuals snow up on eBay occasionally and you might find a reproduction. I have an original operators manual if you need some info, but it's not for sale.

Thanks, tried the site and can not get past the first page, guess I need to get dealer supplied log in. Any chance you'd make a copy of your manual? I'll be glad to reimburse you

Go to www.agcopartsbook.com and click guest. Then you can search for "WC". That'll bring it up. I'd be glad to make a copy of mine. Let me figure out how many pages and go from there. I might be able to make it into a PDF file and send it that way. I'll play around and see what might work best.

You need to go over to the right side and click on the part that says to check in as "a Guest", or as a guest user, or something like that.

My AC mower parts book shows the WC mower, I could copy some pages for you. I just need to know if yours is belt or roller chain driven.

I believe it will also fit the WD and WD45. I have one that was on a WD, looks stock, but has an additional rod so you can use the hydraulics to lift it.

The frame is the same so I guess it should. The only thing might be the rear bracket that bolts under the right rear frame. As long as the bracket can be made to line up then it'd just be the PTO. Not sure how a WD PTO gearbox sits in relation to a WC.
