Help please identifying needed 2N throttle parts

Hi Folks - bought a 46 2N a few months ago to fix up with my 12yo son. It had been sitting and was seized but we got it freed up and it will run now for about 15 seconds, but i haven't adjusted carb yet after taking part, cleaning and partial rebuild. The tractor was said to have had some engine work done and was not out back together -hood, distributor, rad, starter, alternator all off at the time of purchase and we have since put those parts back on..
One of the big issues we have is there is nothing at all going through the dash/firewall from the throttle control arm (at the bottom of the the throttle selector) going towards the governor linkage...there is a bracket on the head and i have seen some pics on here so i think we are missing the the long bar that should go above the head, with the short arm which connects to throttle linkage going to the governor...if someone has a proper name and part # for this I would appreciate it! not sure how it attaches at the other end, to then pass trhough the dash and connect to the throttle arm.. if someone has a few closeup pics that woukld be great! and part names/numbers for what we are missing.. thanks in advance!

None of those parts are available new as far as I know. Ebay and tractor salvage yards will be your friend.

I couldn't find all the parts in my Ford parts manual? Just has throttle control assy without shaft that goes to front of engine/governor rod.

But IT manual has picture of the assy

I have to plow snow with mine today.If I get that started I'll take some pictures while the engine is warming up

thanks All - for the advice and pics. That pic from Mad Farmer is the best info I have seen thus far.. i see i made one mistake already..it didn't come with any battery tray or battery, so i built a custom tray which sits above the starter switch, bit i know see that it will be really in the way of the throttle rod, as the batter is too high... i will have to look closer at pics /manual to see where it was originally... i almost bought an aftermarket tray but it didn't seem like it would work as i didn't seem to have the highest bolt hole it showed for mounting in the steering column/firewall area. Here are a few pics in case anyone spots something else i have set up wrong... please let me know!

I assume that the little ball end of the throttle shaft connector (rightmost pic) should likely go through to the engine side of the dash/firewall and not stay on the steering wheel side as in the pic( the way we received it)? not 100% sure if the dash is original - it was steel . not aluminum...if that tells anything...

Here you go. Two came out blurry.

I'm on break, waiting for the hairdryer to warm up the carb, then will go plowing, was ~0oF last night here...

1) warming up the carb w/hairdryer and tinfoil heatdeflector

2) Shaft where it goes into dash/steering housing near battery (black thing in background)

3) Front end of shaft and connector rod to governor

4) Front end of rod and support, connector rod to governor, and spring

5) Connector rod at governor rod

I just spoke with the person who sold me the tractor and he is going to have a look around his property and outbuildings to see if he can find the throttle rod, and choke rod and any other related gear..

There is an off chance that I might have a choke rod. I will look thru my parts in the shed when this weather in St. Louis abates.

The arm on the end of the throttle control goes behind the dash and connects to the arm on the rear end of the throttle control rod. I couldn't get in there to take a picture of the connection, but took one of the dash/throttle control showing choke knob and oil pressure gauge.

I had a look at the way my battery will be in the way of the throttle rod or bar..but, I should be able to just extend the tray I made to the starter side by about 3-4 inches and then set the battery off to that side to allow the rod to pass beside the battery.

I've had my N since the 1980s. Did not have a bat box just a support for bat. I bought a plastic bat box, ~what would fit then cut it down, put biggest 6V CCA I could shoehorn in from the top,not taking hood off. I've got > 10 years/battery in Northeast using tractor all seasons, stored outside under a military tarp, Carquest HD truck batteries. Sad to say they are Die-Hard now.....Carquest Batt in 9N today is > 10 years old, it was 0o F last night, stored under a tarp, I heated the carb with a hair dryer and it started right up.

My N didn't come with a bat box.

It had a support to mount/place the battery. Kind of floppy. I got a plasitic bat box and cut it down to fit and shoehorned in the biggest 6V truck battery that would fit. A Carquest one, used 3 of those all lasted 10 years outside.

Carquest got bought out by Die_Hard, NOPE! F Them since Sears!

Our tractor was converted to 12V before we got it, so i just threw in and old truck battery i had laying around and it seems to turn it well enough.
I bolted the new tray I built in securely with one bolt on the top of the flywheel area and two smaller bolts above the starter switch on the steering column, so i would like to keep it there, but will just extend it so the battery sits more off to the starter side and (hopefully) clears the throttle rod (or whatever it is called) that goes over the head to the bracket up front - if the PO can find the old parts for me,.

If you are at all "handy" it would be simple enough to make up the linkages in question from steel rods and quick-attach "ball ends" if you can't readily find originals.

It shouldn't be too tough to figure out the lengths to get the correct "range of motion".

It shouldn't be too tough to figure out the lengths to get the correct "range of motion".

Northeaster, if you need to go that rout, I or someone can give you the lengths of each rod.

Yt sells a 2N battery tray
Red circle holds the end of throttle control shaft assy 2N 9802 ---its the rod that goes from dash to the head bracket

Yt also sells the shorty socket and others

Hi Soaked - thank you for all of the pics and parts numbers. if i cant make my custom battery tray work I will order one from YT,.
As you provided me with the part number 2N 9802, I see there is one used on line for sale. If the PO doesn't find the parts soon, i will order the used one. And now i know what holds the other end of it..

My 9N had a place to park the battery. If bat weeped acid ,it flowed out. I got a plastic bat box and cut to size,

I use the biggest 6V bat I can fit through the cover.
