Help posting a picture

I have some wiring pictures I need to show, but I keep getting an error message. What is the secret "trator driver" formula. I have three jpg images.

Out of all the forums sites I belong too, this site is the worst for posting pics. It needs to be reworked for sure. I feel your pain.

There should be an easier way, but this is how I do it.

On the left side of this page you will see the heading "Galleries"-- left click on "tractor photos", "implements" or "parts and pieces"-- left click "attach photo" on the top of the page--left click "browse"--find your photo from you computer and open it-- left click attach--after your photo is attached you will see it--right click your mouse on the photo--click on properties--highlight and right click on the url, which will end in jpg. then left click copy--go back to your "add a post" page and left click on "optional image URL" at the bottom of the page--right click and then left click paste which will put the url in the space--after your done with your message you preview your reply and your photo should be there also.

It would be easier just to be able to attach it from this page, but unless someone else knows how, you have to attach your photo to the seperate web page

I would also like to post some pics here but some are not 100% tractor pics so dont feel it is right to post them on the implement and tractor picture section as mentioned above.
Actually on my Moto Guzzi site you cant post a picture anywhere and this site is far far better and has more options than many others.

(quoted from post at 13:47:19 10/30/07) I have some wiring pictures I need to show, but I keep getting an error message. What is the secret "trator driver" formula. I have three jpg images.

It's really quite easy but the technique id different in the Classic view vs. the Modern view. The idea is the same but the "tags" you use are different.

Step 1. This is the same in both views. You have to put your picture on a web server someplace. I use Photobucket.com - it's free and easy:
Click here to go to Photobucket: Photobucket

Step 2. Again the same for both views. Determine the URL of the image you placed on the web server. On Photobucket you will find several different forms of the URL in the text boxes under each picture.

Step 3a. For Modern view. Go to Photobucket and find the image you want to post. Left click once on the text in the box labeled IMG Code. You should see a little popup saying "copied". Now go to this site and in the message box for your message right click the mouse and select Paste. The text you copied from the Photobucket site will be pasted into the message box. It should look like something like this:

Thats' it - done. Click the Preview button to see the result.

Step 3b. For CLassic view. Same idea as above but you use a different tag. Instead of the text in the box labeled IMG Code, copy the text in the box labeled HTML Tag. Paste that into the message box. it will look something like this:

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/TheOldHokie/IMG_0694.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Done. Click preview to see the result:

4. Repeat steps 1-3 above to add additional images to your message:

Yeah baby!

Anyone here interested in Mushrooms?

I think these are called Honey mushrooms - and I think they are edible - however have to be cooked well (Ill test some on the wife later) - we have boletes coming up but the maggots get them fast, and around here have found morels (the best) and, also growing on this old cottonwood stump some oyster mushrooms which are definately edible.

In photo bucket you can check the box by the photos and at the bottom of the page you will see a button that says generate html and img code. Creates a instant code to post multiple images....These are clickable thumbnails...
