Help with injection pump

We are working on an Oliver 1850 with a Perkins diesel that has a CAV pump. We have cranked the engine and bled the pump body several times and that seems to be OK. However, we are not getting fuel to the injectors. The pump was rebuilt by a reputable shop earlier this year and we are just getting the tractor running again. I think the mistake was made when we removed the throttle lever from the pump in an attempt to fix the tractor throttle linkage. I am worried that the shaft moved when reinstalling the lever. If this mistake was made, would it prevent fuel from getting to the injectors? How can I fix it.

If the throttle lever was removed from the pump, it MIGHT be your trouble. The shaft has two flats and the lever must fit over those flats. Remove the lever again and you will see how it fits. You MIGHT have to file the lever hole a bit if it's deformed by the incorrect installation. With the lever off make sure you pull the shaft back out too first, or the lever will never go on correctly.

I pulled the lever arm, and it was installed correctly, I tried cranking the engine and bleeding the injectors but still could not get the engine to start and no fuel out the exhaust. I took the pump and the injectors to the pump shop, and they are going to test everything and determine the issue.

Could it be out of time by 180 . I never thought to much of CAV injection pumps from my experience . We had one in a Uni with a pukins and it smoked like an old steam engine going across the field not even working hard. Seemed to smoke just as much driving across as when the chopper was working with hay or corn.

Pump was OK, problem was the injectors, a couple of them were leaking and the shop said that allows compression to push air back into the pump. Seems to be great now.
