I?m new to the Oliver world. I bought this motor and tub from salvage yard now trying to put it all back together. Can anyone tell me what this port is for. Water temp ? Heater?

I believe it would be for coolant temp sensor depending on application. My 1850 has a plug in that spot and temp sensor is on the other side of the head. A good thing to do if you have not all ready, is order a set of manuals for the tractor from the Floyd Co. Museum. You can also go on AGCOPartsbook.com as a guest user and look up parts.
