Here's my 530

Thanks for all the recent advice on my 530 guys. Heres a picture of her i took today before spraying some thistles after a fresh wash. She's no show tractor but I keep her looking decent and and hope to repaint her and replace a few worn bits like the seat and steering wheel before winter hits this year. And a set of fenders, a chrome pipe, and an umbrella would be nice too.

Please remember, if she's still wearing her original factory paint job, she can always be re-painted, never un-painted!

Looks too good for a repaint, but hey send her to me and i will let her set beside my 630.be a happy couple

She looks nice. I'm gonna join in with everybody else. If that's original,I wouldn't touch it with new paint. I just bought an Oliver 66 that doesn't even look quite as nice as that, and I'd beat the tar out of anybody if they ever put any new paint on that one.

I would be very proud of that tractor!

I have a 630, and I wish it looked just half that nice.

Looking at the yellow on the sides I am going to say she has been repainted once. The yellow was originally a decal and they all faded to white. Still a very nice tractor. Nice to still see it in use and not just a trailer queen. The 520-530's have a different (and enjoyable) exhaust sound. I sure could enjoy a few hours raking hay with it. Tom

Looks like 13.6x38 rear tires. I REALLY hope you don't put a chrome straight pipe on it. Makes it just about unusable for anything but short parades. Chrome plate a new muffler and bolt that on.

I second that 100%. I respect somebody's freedom to do whatever they want to do to their tractor, but chrome pipes totally ruin the originality of a tractor for me.

That might be ok. I don't mind it being loud, we have straight pipes on the 4020s and 4630. That muffler is only 3 years old and already looks like crap. It just bugs me.

Yes it was painted in the 80s sometime when Dad first got it from my great uncle. It wasn't the greatest job, they just sanded and painted over the old green and it's starting to get patchy on top of the hood. I have painted over the frame and wheels but I want to do it right sometime in the near future.

It's not original paint. Dad had it painted in the 80s sometime and I've touched up some bad areas and repainted the wheels and frame.

Thank you! Im biased but I think it's the most beautiful tractor series ever made. I'd love to get a big 830 diesel someday and one of those oddball Detroit powered 435 diesels too. Heck, if I had the money I'd have one of every size :)

Not original paint. It was done in the 80s and I've painted the frame sides and wheels recently. But I agree. If it was actually original I wouldn't dare touch it either

I'd have to check. They are pretty wide for what it is. Not in the greatest shape at this point but they don't leak. It's been repainted once in the 80s and I've repainted the frame sides and wheels. Hood is getting patchy and so i want to repaint it the right way and take it to bare metal and smooth it.

Thanks! I wish I could say it's all original but that would be a lie. It was painted in the 80s and I've painted the frame and wheels. I never intend it to be a true show tractor although I do take it to shows just for the fun of talking with other antique tractor fans and seeing all their machines too. Just want it to look good when people do a double take seeing one of these old girls still out working :)
