How are you doing in the new digs? You haven't told us much other than it is cold there in North Dakota and that you downsized dramatically eliminating all the old Fords. What do you have for a shop? How far do you have to go to join old pharts for the morning coffee? Volunteer work? Pics of the place? Please bring us up to date with your earth shattering changes.

Actually, I'm in Montana.

Been here since June and living in my Son's basement while new house is being built. New house continues to fall further behind schedule while cost continues to escalate. Do not expect to move in until March at earliest and won't be surprised if schedule continues to slip.

Just a house with attached high bay insulated and heated shop/RV garage/work area. Will never have an RV but son can store his wake boat in RV garage without lowering arch.

Not doing much of anything yet until house is finished and fitted out but hope to become involved with local vintage car activities eventually. I did notice that the occupants of a house two doors down from mine has a nice wide front Super C decorated with Christmas lights on the front porch. I'll make a point of introducing myself after I move in.

Surprisingly, it has not yet been cold here and there has been only one 1 1/2" snow. Son tells me not to get used to it as weather has been abnormally warm.

Well that is too bad about the construction pace. It must be due in large part to lack of help. Too many boomers retiring with inadequate numbers of replacements. Maybe our Gov't should contract with national employment agencies to set up at the Mexican border to get the immigrants headed directly to where they are needed. I am a regular at two weekly cruise nights and occasional at a few others with my antique car.

In my case, most of the delays have been due to builder SNAFUs while other houses being built by the same builder sail right along.

There is an enormous amount of residential construction going on here. New subdivisions are being developed left and right. None of that in SE IN, only occasional single homes.

Not sure why as the cost of living is considerably higher here than in IN, etc.
