Hey Don Rudolph

Hello Ted,

Thanks for posting this dealer decal. It is the 1st one I have for Arkansas. I hope all is well with you over in Cambodia. Merry Christmas! Don

Don,
I'm surprised that is your first Arkie dealer. Case was as strong in the delta rice area of Arkansas as they were in the Ok. Ks wheat belt.I don't have the phone #'s etc. but let me give you the names of three dealers in Ft Smith, Arkansas. Up through to the 100's series Odie Powers (Possably O. D. but to a kid sounded like they were saying Odie) Had a dealer in a quonset hut on Midland Blvd. He had little A6 combines all up and down the Arkansas river bottoms back in the day. About the time the thirty series came out Ft. Smith Tractor Center was across from the Ark. Okla. fair grounds on midland blvd. That may have been a company store or maybe that was the time case required new buldings and Powers didn't go for it and someone else started that one. after him in the late seventies or so Kramer Equipment got the case franchise and when the IH merger happened they offered it to the IH dealer but he refused it and went with Deere. Kramer Got the Franchise but went under not long after that. The four wheel drives were just catching on in this part of the state with the 24,26,2870's Kramer sold more of them than any other dealer in the nation for a few years. If I come across any with stickers I'll post theme here. Haven't had a dealer in this area in years. My brothers and I are about the only case guys in our club. How many dealers total you collected so far. Case made a good and very popular rice machine until they dropped the combines

Hello Andy,

Thanks for all the great info! In this area of NE WI there were 7 small time dealers in the early to mid 60's. By 1971 they were all gone. Case went from a pretty decent presence to almost nothing. My Dad and I were one of the few farms to hang on with Case. I must say it was fun being labeled "those Case farmers".

Some of my favorite memories were going to the Case dealer in Algoma, WI. Maybe that's why I am trying to keep some of this history alive. So far I have over 1000 dealers, but figure there's about 3000 more to go.

Thanks again,

Don

Not sure if I've given you this one before or not. Guy Herron, Groton, SD. I have one of his letterheads I can scan and send you. I also have the invoice for Dad's LA but it is temporarily misplaced.

Took a picture of an eagle hitch lpg 830 wide front yesterday. It just showed up about a mile from the farm I run cattle on. You got me curious about a possible dealer sticker on it. Looks like it might have been repainted at some time but I'll see. I just remember that I have an old parts vac that has a faded out decal from "The FT. Smith Tractor Center". After the holidays I'll see if it visible enough to take a picture.

I do not have this one. Thank you very much for posting it. It seems that NE and KS had a Case dealer in almost every town. Don
