hey what's T/A?

A T/A in a tractor is the Torque amplifier basically you pull it in when the tractor needs a little more power and it shifts a clutch pack to give it more torque or if it is out on the low side (a common problem) it becomes a hand clutch.

Now T/A in women well that is for another board

TA is what you find in McCormick and IH tractors- pull the lever back and it reduces ground speed, increases torque. Moline tractors had a similar thing- but called it Ampli-Torque. AC had a similar thing with the Power Director in the D-Series, but it also had a neutral position which gave live pto and hydraulic power. Simply a clutch to reduce ground speed to get through the tough spots- plowing, other tillage, baling, chopping, etc.
