high speed road gears

We have high speed road gears made for 50,520,530 that makes it about 17 mph,for the tractor drives. We can make ANY gear ..

Sounds kinda "iffy" to me....!!!

All of my tractors are Row-Crops with "good steering" and None of them would be actually "Safe" to drive at any speed above 13 MPH..
Maybe wide-fronts are better at higher speed..???

Sounds like "Caution" should be advised...

Okay, any tractor drive that would require me to regear my tractor and run 17 mph I wouldn’t be a part of.
Heck I don’t like running in high gear with the factory gears, seems like a messy way to die.

I’ve not been on a drive yet, I thought it would be kinda like a parade, I was thinking 4th or 5th gear and easing along enjoying the sites and company? So is it really a race to the finish where I need a crash helmet and fire suit?

The reason for these gears is so the JD can keep up with the rest of the group, many JD owners use other brands because they cant keep up. The ones I have sold went to Ne.

Sounds like your only a couple of steps from horses and better not try going over 7 or 8 MPH stardard high gear on most tractors is 18-20 MPH since 1960, now there are optional factory road speeds of 30-35 MPH, here in hill country we have been useing "Mexican Over-drive" on hills coasting 35 or so for years even with A's and B's,, The real good part of the high gear option for old Deere's is you can throttle back and mantain a good speed without hammering along at full throttle, I've been looking into a set for my 60 ,,I;ll be calling Monday morning for sure...

What happens to 3rd gear's speed when the super speed gears are installed? Does it come 4th or 5th gear?

The gears we have made go on the out side the main case,I think 5 gear??
I am making some for a 730 now but they will go in the main case to get the right speed,out side the case will not work.
