High temp gasket material

For the brain trust...
Where can a guy go to buy high temp gasket material - 800℉ or so.
Need to make/replace a small 1/16" thick asbestos gasket on an old furnace.
Tried McMaster, Grainger and Fastenal.
No luck.
Might/could use hi temp red Permatex if there is nothing else but would like to find a gasket.

It may help if people knew what type of a repair you are making.

Two screws hold the thermocouple and pilot light together in the combustion chamber.
Was going to test and if need be, replace thermocouple.
Noticed the two screws that hold them in were loose and the gasket was disintegrating.
Want to replace the gasket.

Do you have a hardware store with a hearth/stove section? Or just a stove/fireplace store nearby? I'd think ceramic fiber paper gasket should be a normal stock item along with the correct sealant. I would think Amazon has both as well.

I got a piece of exhaust gasket material, but it might be thicker. Ron MN

FelPro makes an exhaust gasket material. 16x28 inch piece runs about $14.

I have asbestos sheet. Can snip a piece off and put it in an envelope. How big, like size of an envelope?
