Hit stump, Lost Oil psi

53 Jubilee, I hit a stump dead on in 1st gear half throttle, dented oil pan 3/8 to 1/2 in the front of the oil pan. Before the hit psi was 40 cold, 20 hot. Now will go to 20 just briefly then 0 and back and forth. I dropped the oil pan did not see any thing out of place. Pulled the line to the gauge, confirmed gauge is working. So what could have be jolted to cause lost of psi.

My guess is that you cracked the suction pipe and it's now sucking air near where it attaches to the pump.

I agree with Bern.
Check both the tubes (pickup and cross over inlet)on the pump real good for cracks. Also check the bottom cover on the oil pump where the tubes mount.

You most likely have a small crack in there somewhere.

It will be a few more weeks till I get back back down to where the tractor is at. I did buy both tubes to be on the safe side, and a new oil pump while I'm at it.
