Holder C9.78H

I have a Holder tractor that we use for snow blowing. My problem is that it won't reverse. There is a switch on the handle that selects either forward or reverse.
There must be a solenoid operated spool valve or something like that to make it change direction. I can't find any information about this tractor. Supposedly it is a variable volume hydraulic pump that changes the ground speed. It looks like there is a pump on the front axle or section that drives an axial piston motor on the other right hand side. The problem does not appear to be the selector switch, I checked that. Does anybody know what makes this tractor reverse? I tried calling the dealer in Canada and they don't answer the phone or e-mails. (probably smart)

Where are you located?

Hi Jim, I am near Waubaushene Ontario Canada. I have lots of experience working on many different makes of tractors. This one is a little different. There doesn't seem to be information on it.

You could try Cushman in Minnesota. If they can't help, they might point you in a direction.

Cushman Holder

Chadwick BaRoss in New England and Tracey Road New York look to have or had Holder at some point in time.
