Holley flooding

ford 2000

Put the carb back on and doesnt seem to be flooding , but now I have to partially close the choke to keep it running. Acts like not getting enough fuel now. Yall are making me look for a Zenith already. Any suggestions on this carb, doesnt seem to have many adjustments other than the screw at the top near where it bolts to the manifold. I believe thats the air metering screw???

Part choke to keep running is sure sign of Holley-itis. Check the archives, search on Holley (or Holly, sometimes it"s misspelled). Trouble is likely in accel pump. You"ll need lots of good luck getting it fixed.

I rebuilt my Ford 2000 carb (Holley) and found three things wrong. The accl pump plunger was frozen and had to be freed, the float was out of spec, and the gasket for the accl pump was not the right one. Be sure ALL of the gasket ports are open. I freed the accel pump plunger by chucking it into a slow drill motor for a few seconds.
