Home made 3pt. conversions

Does anybody have some pics of their home made 3 pt hitch for a WD? Please post them, or e-mail them to me. Thanks.

I don't have any pictures but not all that hard to build. You get a heavy piece of angle iron and make a cross bar that bolts to the draw bar. On each end of that angle iron you have a place to mount pins for the 3 point arms. Arms from a ford 8N work well. As for the center link mount you weld up a bracket that bolts on the diff. housing area. I could problablelly go out and get a few pictures but right now there is a hay rake on it so might not see much of it

Dave, there are about four different ways to mount a three point on a WD... Some good places to look for pictures are this site, OK Tractor, Clayburgh(sp) .. The clear cut advantage to the way Old just explanied;; fastening a crosspiece to the drawbar,, is that you can use the traction booster, and, have the advantage of the spring-cushion..

What a Monstrocity this one is...!!!

Mine is a simple "Y"-shape that snaps right into the snap-coupler and has 2 links ..one up to each lift arm..
The Center link fastens to a "U"-shaped strap that slips around the cross-shaft for the rear lift-arms...
The "Bail" is adjusted up high and the sway-chains are fastened to it..
This can be changed from 3-point, back to the use of AC equipment in 30 minutes..
AND, the traction Booster still works either way..!

My set up takes less time then that. You pull 2 pins out and then drop the original draw bar like you would any how and you hook up your pin or snap coupler equipment of course your time can vaire depending on how much of a pain it is to drop off the draw bar

I was out moving some serious snow today..!

Moved it yeasterday with the JD 630 and rear blade,
Had to make room in case we get more...!

Piled it today with the JD B with the Co-Op loader and blade...looks kinda like the Himalayas, now..!!
