For those that have the dual clutch there was a post by Aaron Ford back in 2006 about a homemade clutch alignment tool made out of sockets. I have included the original post where he made it out of a 6" x 1/2" carriage bolt with the end sharpened off and jammed into a 7/16 socket followed by a 15 mm socket and a 1 1/8 socket secured with a nut run up to the 1 1/8 socket.
I did not like the idea of jamming the bolt into my socket and possibly ruining it so I made a modification of his original idea by using a 3/8" threaded rod which fits though the 7/16 socket and is ended with a nut. The 3/8" nut is smaller than the 7/16 socket and will fit into the flywheel bearing. I then added the 15 mm socket and ran another 3/8 nut up inside of it to have a tight connection. The 1 1/16 or 1 1/8 socket (which ever will fit snugly into your PTO clutch) is added and a washer and another 3/8 nut is added to snug the large socket against the other sockets. I have included photos of the setup and its use. It worked like a charm, the engine and clutch slid together with the transmission input shaft with no problem.
