Sumpter 2

Looking for a hood guard for my 4010 that has a 148 JD loader. The guard keeps the front from getting hit. Is there anyone who makes these? any help appreciated.

We always made them,,I don't think any one makes a 'bolt-on' guard that would not need modified..we would extend the front mount out about 6 inches and take whatever we had to work with,( once it was a prison cell door) and take it above the hood with a couple of braces back to the sides..

if you have a tractor junk yard you use look for an old back hoe. my old ford has a real nice steel plate with holes punched in it to protect the radiator. a little bit of framing around that would make a good protector. i made one for my ih 574 and just bolted angle iron up and above the radiator top and filled in the back side with a piece of tough expanded metal. its metal with slits cut in it and stretched to form a diamond pattern.
