hood , top center panel

Will a hood center panel from a 1955 640 fit a 64 4000 realizing it would not have the 2 holes in the front. if not what are the differences?

Because of the fuel tank size difference the hinges are at different locations so will not interchange, The hood from a 4000 will fit a 640 if holes are drilled to except the new location of the hinges.
