Horse 2?

ive posted before about this troybuilt tiller i believe its a horse 2 has one belt. This is all i could get out of the sereal number 00643 thats it. I cant getit out of free wheel mode any help would be appreciated. Id like to find out what year and all so i could get a book ive tried looking at the pdf but i cant find it, thanks guys

So the lever on the right side does not put it into high or low range? Just stays in neutral? Time to pull the gearbox apart.

Mom has one exactly like this I’ll look at the serial number of it and see I know she has a book I’ve used it to order that belt you speak of early to mid 80s I’m sure she will know the year of it for sure

That looks identical to our '77 Horse, except for the Kohler engine. We have the Tecumseh. Fairly certain the Horse II had the reinforcement bar on the directional lever. The model after that would have been the PTO Horse with detachable tiller unit.
